[[Bender]] is playing poker at the [[Planet Express]] workbench, and since [[Fry]] is asleep he decides to take advantage of him, and soon Fry is broke. [[Leela]] confronts Bender and tells him to stop taking advantage of Fry, so Bender then fashions a robot out of [[Professor Farnsworth]]'s [[What-If Machine]] so he can have a poker buddy, when Fry wakes up he unawarely asks the What If Machine a question (What if it was X-mas every day?). The What If Machine reveals his programming which forces it to give an answer and we are shown what it would be like to have X-mas every day. [[Richard Nixon's Head]] makes a deal with [[Robot Santa]] that will allow him to be head of weapons in the event they celebrate X-mas every day. Soon everybody on [[Earth]] is drafted into Santa's army. Leela asks The Professor to build a giant Easter Rabbit robot and soon they (as well as [[Amy]], due to her clumsiness) destroy Santa.

Leela decides to ask the next question, but Bender, being selfish asks the machine 'What if we Skip Leela's Question?' Fry decides to ask the final question, so he asks 'What if life was like a Sitcom?'. In a Parody of 'I Dream of Jeannie', Fry discovers a bottle containing a Genie named Leela. He takes Leela home that night and she goes out on a date - not wanting to be alone Fry organises a date with a witch name Amantha (Amy - Parodied as Samantha from 'Bewitched'). Amantha and Leela soon have a fight - which leaves Fry happy as he has never had two girls fighting over him before, suddenly The Professor arrives and tells Bender that the What If? Machine has been using its software to cheat at poker, to which Bender announces he installed an [[Empathy Chip]] so the robot would feel bad. The Professor then goes on to contradict him, announcing it was really a self-destruct chip and instantly the What If? Machine explodes. In the final panels of the story The Professor complains that it will take a year to rebuild the fallen machine.

Twice Told Tales Of Interest is the twenty-fourth issue of the Futurama series of comic books.

The Plot

Act I

Bender is playing poker at the Planet Express workbench, and since Fry is asleep he decides to take advantage of him, and soon Fry is broke.
