The Empire State Building

The Empire State Building is perhaps Old New York's most famous building, constructed in 1931. Unlike other Old New York buildings, the Empire State survived the alien invasions, but it pokes out of the ground of New New York instead of being at street level.

In 3000, the Empire State was damaged by a projectile from the incoming original garbage ball. ("A Big Piece Of Garbage")

In a What-If Machine vision, a 500-foot Bender was killed after being impaled on the Empire State. ("Anthology of Interest I")

In a cut scene from Space Pilot 3000, Fry requested to go to the Empire State Building instead of JFK Jr. Airport, which was itself replaced by Radio City Mutant Hall.
