The Spheroboom is one of Professor Farnsworth's many doomsday devices.

The Professor, while selling his various doomsday devices to Hedonismbot, reveals that the Spheroboom is his personal favorite and he can't bear to part with it. However, the Scammers take it from him, and it is not seen again for a large portion of the movie, until the climax. Bender reveals that he had been keeping the device ever since escaping the control of the scammers. Leela fires it toward the scammers' ship, causing a spectacular blast.
