Ronald M. "Ron" Popeil is an inventor and the founder of the company Ronco. He made a guest appearance as himself in the Futurama episode A Big Piece of Garbage, in which his head in a jar hosted the Academy of Inventors Annual Symposium. In the Futurama universe, he is credited for creating the technology which allows for human heads to be kept alive in jars. Fry owned a Ronco brand vault in his youth and used it to store his seven leaf clover in The Luck of the Fryrish.
