• When Bender overclocks himself, he reads a series of books akin to how Johnny Five does in Short Circuit. However, Bender is equipped with an M16A1 - A major anachronism, as the M16 was concieved in the 1960s, and was put in service much later during the Vietnam War.
• During Bender's time as an omnisentient being he created a new galaxy every time he burped. Two if he had been eating brocolli. When Fry left Bender also created a few new elements.
• A running gag in this episode is ceilling fans falling down and knocking zoidberg unconsious.
• While talking with Fry about their relationship Leela says i dont know about us being so on again off again. Maybe i,m having some early life crisis. An early life crisis is a pun on a mid-life crisis.
• While Leela and Fry read the future about there relationship calculated by the at the point still omnisentient Bender at some point Leela slaps Fry. Some point further while reading Fry slaps Leela. This implies that they will both do something which the other dissapproves.However seeing both there reaction there relationship will be a happy one
• In this episode it is revealed that Bender has 12 terrabyte's of outdated catchphrases two of them being. "Sounds like fun on a Bun" and "Whats that sonny? you say that'll put some whoopy in my cushion?"
• Bender's choice to be at Niagara Falls is likely a reference to a famous quote about supercomputers, "The super computer is technologically impossible. It would take all of the water that flows over Niagara Falls to cool the heat generated by the number of vacuum tubes required." — Professor of Electrical Engineering, New York University
• Among the identified members of the jury at the trial of Cubert and Professor Farnsworth are "Sweet" Clyde Dixon, Angleyne, April, "Fishy" Joseph Gilman, Number 9 man, Petunia, and Vyolet.
• The flying robots sent to retrieve Bender are references to the Sentinels from the Matrix Trilogy.
