The New New York Mets were one of the worst teams in the Blernsball league. The team retired all of their whole numbers so current players wear fractions due to there being no whole numbers available. Leela was breifly on their team, as she "beaned" all the players on the other team by hitting them with the ball and caused them to walk to first base.
