The Harlem Globetrotters were a species of aliens who played basketball. Professor Farnsworth created a team of Atomic Supermen to challenge the Globetrotters in a game of basketball. They come from the Globetrotter's Planet where there is a whole race of Globetrotters.

The Futurama Globetrotters are a parody of the real-life Harlem Globetrotters.
