"Wretched sinner unit! The path to robot heaven lies here... in the Good Book 3.0."
Lionel Preacherbot
"Hey! Do I preach to you when you're lying stoned in the gutter? No! So beat it!"
Bender[source]

Reverend Lionel Preacherbot is a preacher at the Temple of Robotology. He always manages to be on hand to conduct weddings and funerals, no matter how far, as well as has aspirations of acting that same role in movies.

In "Hell is Other Robots", he tries to get Bender back on the right track. He also presides at Leela's wedding to Alcazar in "A Bicyclops Built for Two", Leela's wedding to Fry in "Time Keeps on Slippin'", Calculon's wedding to Bender (as Coilette) in "Bend Her", and Leela's wedding to the Robot Devil in "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings". He briefly speaks at Bender's "funeral" in "A Pharaoh to Remember".

Preacherbot also presides over the funeral of Bender’s uncle Vladimir after he dies in "The Honking". He fights violently with Bender in "Crimes of the Hot", when he insults a turtle that Bender had traveled all the way to Holland to save. In "Proposition Infinity", Preacherbot takes Bender to a camp, along with other robosexuals, in attempt to rid them of their robosexuality. In "Ghost in the Machines", he gives Fry a sacred firewall to prevent robot ghosts from getting within 20 feet of him. His speech patterns, accent, and mannerisms are modeled on those of stereotypical African-American Evangelical preachers.

200px-Resistor symbol America

The symbol of Robotology is based on the symbol for a resistor used on schematic electrical circuit diagrams.

In addition to preaching, Reverend Preacherbot does have some knowledge of welding, which he uses to place Robotology emblems on the bodies of his congregation members and occasionally touch up seams.

He is hinted as being robosexual, as he begins to perspire and become aroused when he watches Bender or other robosexuals "wrestle their demons", a strange activity that he makes them participate in. ("Proposition Infinity")
