After the cancellation of Futurama by the Fox Network, a series of four straight-to-DVD movies were produced. Each movie is written as a set of four standard half-hour episodes. The movies were released between 27 November 2007 and 24 February 2009, and aired on Comedy Central in the United States between 23 March 2008 and 25 April 2009, as well as on Sky1 on 30 August 009.
