3001 is a year in which Futurama is set and is a year after Fry is unfrozen.

- Zoidberg goes to Decapod 10 to take part in the mating frenzy, but misses out due to his fight to the death with Fry.
- Bender meets his twin, Flexo, and falls in love with Angleyne.
- Fry and Amy start dating. Fry is beheaded and Zoidberg places his head onto Amy's body.
- Bender becomes one of the most popular robots in the Ultimate Robot Fighting League.
- Leela almost marries Alkazar.
- Farnsworth celebrates his 160th birthday; the crew meets Cubert.
- Fry has an affair with Morgan Proctor; Hermes is promoted to Bureaucrat Grade 37.
- Planet Express visits Atlanta and Fry falls in love with Umbriel.
- Bender joins, and then quits, the Robot Mafia.
